What is DE&I?

Defined as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion aims to drive Employee Engagement by allowing employees to have environments where they can “Bring their full selves to work.” Common groups are typically based around Gender, Functional Role, Race, Age, or Sexual Orientation. More and more companies are understanding how important Faith is to identity and are opening themselves up to allow Faith based ERG’s to be launched (whether formally or informally)

What is an ERG or BRG?

Commonly referred to as an Employee Resource Group, Business Resource Group, Affinity Group, Activity Community, etc. is a “Company Recognized” community where individuals can connect from a specific demographic or common interest. Companies employ these Groups are part of their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies.

What’s the Purpose of a Christian ERG?

The Christian ERG’s are effective when they are non-denominational, faith-based group open to all team members. The groups provides a conduit that allows for team members to bring their whole selves to work. Groups shine a light on challenges we face daily and discover ways to experience joy, hope, encouragement and purpose in and outside of the workplace. Members strive to make a positive difference in the workplace and community by demonstrating a commitment to such values as excellence, integrity, honesty, kindness, empathy, respect for one another and service towards customers, communities and coworkers in addition to a personal commitment to Company guidelines.

What are the beliefs of the CIC?

  • Our Founders follow Reformed Theological Teaching. We will study the God of the Bible as defined as: one God, eternally existing in three persons—The Father, The Son whose name is Jesus, and The Holy Spirit—co-eternal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same character and perfections.
  • We study The Bible, defined as: both the Old and New Testaments, the inspired word of God. It is God breathed and is true, doesn’t change, and is our final authority for faith and life
  • We study the Lord Jesus Christ defined as: the eternal Son of God. He became man without ceasing to be God when he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sin free life. He did this to show us who God was and to make us right with God through his death on the cross and resurrection from the grave. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, and will return one day.
  • We study the Holy Spirit, defined as: the eternal Spirit of God. He convicts the world of sin, of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment; He is the supernatural agent in making people new by indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit helps us to grow in God and equips us to be used by God to make a difference in this world

Testimonials Of Our (The Lords Work) In Action

"It’s an incredible feeling to be able to freely listen and join in the word of god safely in the place we spend 1/3 of our life (Career’s). Today; I felt a sense of freedom and power of something so much bigger than me. The support and inspiration from a community of followers that will grow and no doubt in my mind inspire and empower our culture making us stronger as a company"

"Our company is focused on Inclusion so that people can bring their full selves to work. You can't have that conversation and not include Faith in the discussion. Building the case for why it's important, why it's legal, and how it supports DE&I goals was critical for getting our Group approved"

"I can finally be my real self at work and shine the light of Christ for all to see."
